Kauai Luau Prices: What You Get at Auli'i Luau
When you search for Kauai luau prices, you'll find a wide range of options across the island, and the cost difference between luaus isn't always easy to explain at first glance. What you're really trying to figure out is whether the price reflects a genuine experience or just a line item on a vacation budget. At Auli'i Luau, we're Kauai's premier oceanfront luau, native Hawaiian-owned, and operating at one of the most scenic beach settings on the island at Po'ipu Beach. This article breaks down exactly what each package costs, what it includes, and how to decide which option is right for your group.
What Are the Current Kauai Luau Prices at Auli'i Luau?
Auli'i Luau offers two packages, each with tiered pricing by age group.
The Aloha Standard package and the Ali'i Premier package are available for purchase at different price points depending on what experience you are looking for at our Poipu oceanfront luau.
Children under four years old attend free of charge.
All prices are subject to Hawaii's general excise tax of 4.712%, which will appear at checkout. For the most current rates and availability, always book directly atauliiluau.com/book-now, where pricing is kept up to date and you can see seating availability live.
What Does the Aloha Standard Package Include?
The Aloha Standard package delivers the full Auli'i Luau experience at the base price.
On arrival, you receive a traditional shell lei greeting. Seating is assigned at shared banquet tables, with placement based on your reservation date. The earlier you book, the better your seat assignment within the standard section.
The package includes a welcome cocktail and full access to the open bar for the entire evening. You get unrestricted access to the Polynesian buffet menu, which is covered in detail below.
The complete entertainment program is included, running from the cultural activitiesbefore the show to the Polynesian dance performances and the Siva Afi fire knife performance that closes the night. Nothing about the show itself is tiered. Every guest in every seat watches the same performance.
What Is on the Auli'i Luau Buffet?
The buffet at Auli'i Luau is a significant part of the overall value in the Kauai luau price. It's a full Hawaiian and Polynesian spread, not a small selection of dishes.
Confirmed buffet items include kalua pig and cabbage, Huli Huli chicken, poke, lomi lomi salmon, island fish, purple sweet potatoes, sticky rice, and taro rolls. Haupia, the traditional Hawaiian coconut dessert, rounds out the sweet end of the meal.
Appetizers include roasted sweet potatoes, garlic edamame, and Hawaiian chips.
The buffet is also labeled for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free guests, which gives everyone at the table a clear view of what works for their diet.
What Does the Ali'i Premier Package Add for the Extra Cost?
The Ali'i Premier package builds on everything in the Aloha Standard and adds four specific upgrades.
First, you get a dedicated VIP express check-in lane on arrival, which bypasses the standard line and gets your group seated faster. For anyone traveling with young children or older family members, that's a practical benefit worth noting.
Second, your seating assignment falls within the first four rows in front of the stage. Premium placement is assigned based on reservation date within that tier, so earlier bookings in the Ali'i section still have an advantage over later ones.
Third, tableside appetizers are served to your table before priority access to the buffet opens for your section.
Fourth, your lei greeting is a premium seasonal lei rather than the standard shell lei. Depending on the season, this may be a fresh flower lei, a shell lei, or a kukui nut lei.
What to Know Before You Book Auli'i Luau
Seating within each package tier is assigned based on reservation date. This applies to both Aloha Standard and Ali'i Premier. Booking earlier gives your group a better placement within your chosen section.
